Aug. 7, 2008 – Commissioner St. Claire N. Williams of the Department of Housing, Parks and Recreation invites the general public to attend the dedication ceremony of the new recreational facilities at the Estate La Vallee Recreation Park at 11 a.m., on Friday, Aug. 8.
Williams noted that over the past several months, upgrades were undertaken at the park where a new restroom and concession building were constructed, the basketball court resurfaced, new covered bleachers were installed and the perimeter fence was replaced.
"Well maintained parks and recreational facilities make a positive difference in communities and the Department of Housing, Parks and Recreation is making every effort to improve and enhance our parks and recreational facilities throughout the territories," he said. "We are really pleased that we are able to bring this program to the people in Estate La Vallee."
