VI SHIP/Medicare Symposium Slated for Sept. 18 and 19

Sept. 10, 2008 – The Virgin Islands State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) will be holding a V.I. Medicare symposium in conjunction with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in the New York Regional Office, according to a press release from the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of the V.I.
VI SHIP Director/Medicare Coordinator Rena Sarauw has announced that the 2008 Medicare symposium will offer providers, partners, stakeholders and advocates of Medicare pertinent information on the program and offer sessions on improving program outreach to Medicare recipients.
It will be held from Sept. 18 -19, at the Divi Carina Bay Beach Resort and Casino on St. Croix. Persons or organizations interested in registering should contact the VI SHIP office at 772-7368 for a registration form and more information.
VI SHIP is a program federally funded by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and locally administered by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor.
