Unconscionable

Dear Source:

Does the VI Government really expect that we on St. John are going to be able to pay our horribly inflated land tax bills at this time, when the economy is going down the tubes, everybody's investments are way down, the cost of everything is inflated, we are going into a recession, no one has had raises that come anywhere near the cost of living increases, etc., etc.? And just before Christmas!!!
How can they stand by these land revaluations that were done at the height of the real estate bubble here and only reflect the sales of a few high-end properties for outrageous prices? It is totally unconscionable!!!
