Police Report Missing Woman, 36

Jan. 23, 2009 — Police are on the lookout for 36-year-old Karin Wetzl, whose father reported her missing Friday after not hearing from her in three months.
Wetzl, who is about 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds, has lived on St. Thomas for about a year and is a former employee of Café Calypso in downtown Charlotte Amalie. Her father, who lives in Texas, said her family hasn’t heard from her since November 2008, according to a V.I. Police Department news release.
Wetzl has brown eyes, blond hair and a tattoo of a sun on her right shoulder. Police are asking residents with any information on her whereabouts or when they last saw her, to call 715-5548 or Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-TIPS. Anonymous tips can also be submitted online at www.crimestoppersusvi.org.
