Mary Ann Samuel died on Jan. 18. She was 79 years old.
She is survived by her daughters: Gweneth Ambrose and Jacqueline Ryan; adopted daughter, Patricia Dublin; sons: Everette Joseph and Emile Joseph; significant other, Claude Byam; daughter-in-law, Mellissa Joseph; son-in-law, Keithroy Ambrose; granddaughters: Enleen Gumbs, Lisa Benjamin, Shondell, Natifa and Jasmine Joseph, Diamond Steward and Asya Manrasse; grandsons: Jahmal Duncan, Jafari, Emile Jr. and Zephaniah Joseph; and great-grandson: Jafari and Jemel Joseph, Keyna Ambrose Jr. and Amiri Johnson. She is also survived by sister, Alberta Browne; brother, Malcolm Harley; nieces: Catherine Dye, Carmen Looby, Cassilda Ferris, Hazel Oliver Soto and Maudelyn Francis; great nieces: Chearoll Looby, Denise Patricl Molly, Tracy and Jersey Looby, Charmain Baily, Onica Williams, Kimi Martin, Tessa and Kayla Smith, and Tanya Francis; great-great nieces: Isha, Isham Patrick, Michele Williams and Zeniah Francis; nephews: Lesroy Looby, Hubert Ferris and Wilfred Ferris; great nephews: Lesroy Looby Jr., Jahmega Phillips, Kelly, Mandella and Lyndon Brown, Trevor Francis, Durell and Derrick Ferris; and great-great nephews: Fitz and Shaffy Patrick. Other survivors include: special cousins: Joycelyn Zacariah and family; special friends: Reynard Williams, Carol Laban, Althea Marshall, Marietta Stevens, Edns Venzen, Angela Williams and family, and the Jerome family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28, at the Freidensthal Moravian Church. Interment will be at the Moravian Cemetery.
