DLCA Releases Latest Gas Survey Prices

The Department of Licensing and Consumer Affairs (DLCA) is notifying the public of its latest territory-wide gas price survey findings. The survey was completed on May 13 on St. Croix and May 14 on St. Thomas and St. John. The gas survey is designed to inform consumers on which stations offer the best fuel prices.

St. Croix
On St. Croix, the minimum prices offered on full-service regular and self-service premium fuel and diesel fuel experienced minor increases. Prices on both self-service and full service premium fuel remained unchanged.
The highest prices found on St. Croix for full-service gasoline were $3.19 for premium and $4.19 for regular. The highest prices for self-service gasoline were $2.99 for premium and $2.99 for regular. The highest price per gallon for diesel fuel was at $3.49.
The best bargains:
Premium Full Service – 3.399 at La Reine Service Station
Regular Full Service – 3.199 at La Reine Service Station
Premium Self Service – 2.939 at Royal Service Station
Regular Self Service – 2.739 at Royal Service Station
Diesel fuel – 2.899 at Royal, Amigos and Seven Days Service & Mini Mart
St. Thomas
On St. Thomas, the minimum prices offered on all fuel types experienced no change. Full-Service Regular and Diesel Fuel have remained stable for the third straight week. For the second straight week, customers can pay the same price for full-service regular and self-service regular fuel at $3.46.
The highest prices found on St. Thomas for full-service gasoline were $3.70 for premium and $3.60 for regular. The highest prices for self-service gasoline were $3.69 for premium and $3.59 for regular. The highest price offered for diesel fuel was $3.62.

Premium Full Service – 3.669 at Texaco (Smith Bay)
Regular Full Service – 3.469 at Texaco (Smith Bay)
Premium Self Service – 3.569 at One Stop (Sugar Estate), Race Track (Sugar Estate) and
Giant Gas (Mandela Circle)
Regular Self Service – 3.469 at One Stop (Sugar Estate), Race Track (Sugar Estate),
Giant Gas (Mandela Circle) and Texaco (Airport)
Diesel fuel – 3.549 at Texaco (Bovoni)
St. John
On St. John, Domino Oil still remains out of fuel. Survey findings represent prices for E&C self-service station. All prices remain unchanged for the fourth straight week.
The best bargains:
Premium Self Service – 3.649 at E&C
Regular Self Service – 3.569 at E&C
Diesel fuel – 3.359 at E&C
