Lydia Simmonds-Lettsome, principal of the Emanuel Benjamin Oliver Elementary School, advises parents, guardians and the general public of its annual open house scheduled for 5:30-8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 14. Attendees are asked to assemble in the school cafeteria upon arrival for a brief introduction.
During the open house, parents will have an opportunity to discuss with teachers the curriculum and other pertinent information to help students be successful. They will get a bird’s eye view of teacher and student interaction. The principal further reminds parents are reminded that Virgin Islands law entitles them to utilize two hours per month to visit their child’s/children’s school.
