Veteran Juan Perez Monell Dies at 83

Veteran Juan Perez Monell
Veteran Juan Perez Monell of Estate Sally’s Fancy died on June 22, at Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital. He was 83 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Olga Monell; daughters: Ana Miray and Norma Melendez; sons: Jose Torres and Wilfred Miray; grandchildren: Gabriela Santiago, Olmo Perez Jr., Juan Jose Perez, Jose Melendez, Olga Melendez and Nakia Jacobs-Samuel; great-grandchildren: Seelanny Joseph, Wilfred Belardo, Kyanna Belardo, Kyara Belardo Onekia Samuel and Nakeale Samuel; daughter-in-law: Rosa Perez; sisters: Pula Monell Stridiron and Paquita Acevedo; and brother, Paulino Perez Sr.
He is also survived by nieces: Powena Stirdiron, Slyvia Perez, Eva Figueroa, Wanda Navarro, Ivelisse Torres, Susan Torres, Zulma Torres, Elizabeth Nelson, Eunice Perkins, Johanna Narine and Luz Narine; nephews: Paulino Perez Jr., Luis Figueroa, Digby Stridiron, Junior Figueroa, Juan Carlos Torres, Manuel Torres, Felipe Torres, Angel Torres Jr., Michael Narine and Luis Antonio Torres; sisters-in-law: Carmen Narine, Margo Perkins, Nora Torres, Providencia Torres, Angelica Torres, Juanita Torres and Isabel Torres; brothers-in-law: Angel Torres Sr., Manolin Torres, Juan Torres and Ramon Torres; special friends: Betsy Campen and family, Sam Rawlins and family, and William Johnson and family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, July 1, at Kingshill Memorial Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery, Veterans Section.
