John Brewers Bay Restroom Opens on Saturday

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, to officially open the UVI John Brewers Bay Beach restroom and shower facility. Representatives from the Office of the Governor, the 29th Legislature and the University of the Virgin Islands will be in attendance.
The 850-square foot facility contains men’s and women’s restrooms, outside rinse showers and a lifeguard office. It is compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The groundbreaking took place on Oct. 19, 2010. The project was championed by Sen. Celestino White Sr. and was designed by architects at The deJongh Group.
