Crime Stoppers: How to Report Crime While Staying Anonymous

Crime Stoppers empowers you to make your neighborhoods safer by reporting information while remaining anonymous. We understand that some people are still skeptical, so to learn how we keep you anonymous, please visit our website and click on “How it Works.” To date, no tipster has ever been discovered due to a fault in the system, anywhere. If you know something, say something as law enforcement needs to know what you know.

St. Croix: Police are investigating several burglaries that occurred in Estates Whim, Williams Delight, Richmond, Sion Farm and Cotton Valley in the last several days. Although these burglaries occurred when no one was home, Crime Stoppers believes someone saw some suspicious activity in the area. In each of these burglaries, police were only able to get minimal information or details about the burglaries. If you know or have heard about anyone involved in any burglary, please let Crime Stoppers know.

St. John: Between 10 a.m. Oct. 29 and about the same time Oct. 30, a dinghy, engine and trailer were stolen from the area of Great Cruz Bay. The dinghy is a grey 2010 inflatable, is 10 feet, 6 inches in length, and 5 feet, 5 inches in width. The outboard engine is a Yamaha E15.

St. Thomas: On Friday about 11 a.m. in the area of the inspector’s lounge at the DMV in Sub Base, an argument between 33-year-old Akil Greig, an employee of DMV, and an unidentified black male turned deadly when the unknown male pulled out a handgun and shot Greig multiple times, killing him. The shooter then fled in a BMW. Witnesses said the altercation was a personal matter and not DMV-related.
