V.I. Fire Service Announces Ban on Burning

Effective immediately, there is a ban on burning throughout the territory until further notice, according to a press release issued on Friday by the Virgin Islands Fire Service.
“It is appropriate that this ban be put in place as a precaution due to the dry weather and recent increase of brush fires,” said Assistant Director of the V.I. Fire Service Daryl A. George.
