Women Fired at Outside Business

Police on St. Thomas are searching for a man who approached two women at a business Friday evening and fired one shot at them. No one was injured, according to the V.I. Police Department.

One of the women told police that between 7:30 and 7:45 p.m. she and the other woman were taking supplies into the rear entrance of the Options Day Spa in Sugar Estate. She said they were approached by a slim man who had braids in his hair and was wearing all black clothing. The man displayed a handgun and the women ran into the store and closed the door. They then heard at least one gunshot.

Police canvassed the area searching for the suspect but were unable to locate him. Detectives from the Criminal Investigation Bureau asked anyone who knows anything about the case to call detectives at 1-340-714-9834 or 1-340715-5522, or call 911 or the anonymous tip service, Crime Stoppers USVI, at 1-800-222-8477. People with information can also send a text, “USVI” plus the message, to CRIMES, or 274637.
