President Obama Appoints V.I. Resident to JFK Center Advisory Committee

President Barack Obama has recently appointed local Virgin Islands resident Dale LeFebvre to serve on the Advisory Committee on the Arts for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. This is LeFebvre’s first presidential appointment, and he is excited to be representing the Virgin Islands with this prestigious nomination.
Last December, LeFebvre was recognized in the news for his contribution of $350,000 to the University of the Virgin Islands, which established the LeFebvre Endowed Student Fellowship Award and the Oson VI LLC Endowed Fund for Recruitment and Retention. The gift also funds two SAT preparatory programs. http://www.uvi.edu/news/articles/2013/12_044_lefebvre.aspx
