Arts Alive 2015 Season Features Four Concerts

Arts Alive has announced its 2015 Concert Season. Located in Tillett Gardens in Estate Tutu, Arts Alive will be presenting four major concerts between Jan. 9 and April 10.
Hot Club of Cowtown will perform at 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 9. This Austin, Texas, group features fiddle, guitar, upright bass and dynamic vocals. Elena, Whit and Jake combine the hot jazz style of legendary violin and guitar masters Stephane Grapelli and Django Reinhart with the Western swing style of Bob Wills, creating music for dancing and an old fashioned good time.
Kim and Reggie Harris will perform at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4. Consummate musicians, Kim and Reggie combine a strong folk and gospel legacy with a solid background in classical, rock, jazz and pop. They are a mini music festival of diversity – singers, songwriters, educators, interpreters of history and cultural advocates. This engagement of Kim and Reggie Harris is made possible through the Virgin Islands Special Presenters Initiative program of the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation with support from the National Endowment of the Arts and the Virgin Islands Council on the Arts.
Yvette Landry will perform at 8 p.m. on Friday, March 20. Born in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, in the heart of Cajun country, she is a true “honkey tonk woman.” Her voice is slightly smoky, sweetly beautiful, and seriously twangy, harking back to the days of Patsy Cline and Kitty Wells, but with a contemporary, feisty, feminine twist. Oozing charisma and Louisiana proud, Yvette Landry and her music are the salt and soul of the earth.
The Deanna Bogart Band will perform at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 10. Bogart is a multi-instrumentalist, singer and song writer who combines the best of boogie woogie, contemporary blues, country and jazz into a splendid blues she calls “blusion.” Her playlist is always fluid and varied, and she engages the audience with her sassy sense of humor. This engagement of Deanna Bogart is made possible through the Virgin Islands Special Presenters Initiative program of the Mid-Atlantic Arts Foundation with support from the National Endowment of the Arts and the Virgin Islands Council on the Arts.
