Man Arrested in Domestic Violence Assault

V.I. Police officers arrested 31-year-old Tashimo Scatliffe, of Paul M. Pearson Gardens, Friday and charged him with second-degree assault, domestic violence, in an incident that occurred Dec. 29.

The victim, whose name was not released by the VIPD, told police that Scatliffe, the father of her infant son, came to her residence and met a male acquaintance of hers sitting on the porch. The two men had an exchange of words at which point her friend left the residence.

Scatliffe and the victim then engaged in a verbal altercation, when Scatliffe then allegedly placed his hands on the victim’s throat and began to choke her, she told police.

Scatliffe was held without bail under the Domestic Violence law, and was turned over to the Bureau of Corrections pending his advise of right hearing.
