One Dies in St. John Traffic Collision

One person died and another was injured Tuesday in a traffic collision on St. John, the V.I. Police Department reported.

At about 6:56 p.m. Tuesday, officers were dispatched to a traffic accident in which a scooter and an SUV collided in the area of Race Track Gas Station.

The operator and passenger of the scooter were injured and transported to Myrah Keating Smith Clinic for treatment. The passenger of the scooter succumbed to his or her injury at the clinic, the police said.

The VIPD did not release the name of the deceased or the others involved in the incident.
