School of Visual Arts & Careers Seeking Student Artists

The School of Visual Arts & Careers (SVAC) is recruiting high school students in grades 9 through 12 for its 2016 – 2017 after-school program. Students will receive training in drawing, painting, mixed media as well as digital art. Instructors and guest artists will expose students to a variety of media and approaches to creating art.
Classes meet from 3:30-5:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Students pay only an annual registration fee of $50. All materials and supplies are provided.
The non-profit program is located in the red I. Levin Building on Main Street, across from the former Enid Baa Library. SVAC is funded in part through grants from the Virgin Islands Council on the Arts, local contributors and corporate donations.
For more information about the program, contact Executive Director Barbara Callwood at 998-2020.
