Missing St. Croix Man Found on St. John

Timothy Howard, the the 57-year-old man who has been missing since Monday, was found on St. John at 5 p.m. Saturday, the V.I. Police Department reported.

Howard who reportedly suffers from dementia, had not been seen since by family or friends since Monday. He managed to get on a plane to St. Thomas and then was able to travel to St. John, where he had lived for many years.

VIPD Public information Officer Glen Dratte said Howard was taken to the Schneider Regional Medical Center, where is is reportedly doing well physically.

In a text message to the Source, his fiancee Holly Hartzell, confirmed that Howard would likely be returned to St. Croix Sunday. She had said earlier that he needs stateside medical help.

In a news release, Police Commissioner Delroy Richards thanked the community for its support and the officers for their concerted effort in finding the missing man.
