STX Teen Succumbs to Gunshot Wound

A 17-year-old male died of a gunshot wound Tuesday afternoon in the Good Hope Townhouses, the V.I. Police Department reported.

According to the VIPD report, at 3:51 p.m. Tuesday officers were notified of a gunshot victim in Good Hope Townhouses. Officers traveled to the area and found a 17-year-old male with a gunshot wound. He did not have any signs of life.

An autopsy will determine the details of the incident. The case is being investigated by the Criminal Investigation Bureau, but the police declined to say whether it is being considered as a homicide or another crime.
