Frank Demaine Wilson died on Sunday, Aug. 16.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Helena Altagracia “Gracie” Parson; father, Oliver C. “OC” Wilson Sr.; sisters: Joyce Jennings, Norma John and Olivia George; and brothers: Ezdel Wilson and Jack Wilson.

He is survived by his companion, Patricia Moore; daughters: Chrystal Wilson, Ebony “Bunny” Wilson, Jade Wilson-Tonge, Sharde D. Wilson and Nia Z. Wilson; sons: Frank “Moody” Wilson Jr., DeMaine Wilson, DeRay Wilson, Kareem Omari Wilson, Max Bernard Wilson and Stan Arnold Wilson; grandchildren: Frank Demain Wilson III, Kelaun Kadeem Wilson, C’kory Demanii Wilson, Yeniel Demaine Wilson Rosario and Lyanda Tonge; sisters: Betty L. Wilson (Ms. West End) and Ritamae Wilson Petersen; brothers: Oliver C. “Sonny Cow” Wilson Jr. and John A. Wilson Sr.; and nieces: April Howard, Dianne Davis, Denise Daniel, Shareen Wilson, Chammel Wilson, Jarell A. O’Connor, Renee Francis, Lisandra Petersen, Tanesha Vincent, Jessica Wilson, Felicita Wilson and Brisa Wilson Lopez.

He is also survived by nephews: Colonel Alfred E. “Freddy Plow” Francis, Alexis M. Doward, Mickeal Wilson, Jack Kincaid Jr., Franklin Kincaid, John A. Wilson, Jr., Lawrence Petersen, Jr., Israel Miranda and Kareem Lee; great-nieces: Alexcia Doward, A’marie Doward, Francesca Teague, Natasha Kincaid, Giovianna Lugo, Jerica Lugo, Je’La Gonzalez, Jalene Gonzalez, Jillian Gonzalez, Wanika Hill, Watina Hill, Destini Bowman, Shanda Louis, Chamarla Louis, Luna Lee, Layla Lee, Ashley Cruz and Adanelys Bonilla; and great-nephews: DeMaine Francis, Armani Doward, Esco and Sean Dickerson, Bernel Manners, Lucas Lee, Orlando Parrilla, Jose Osorio, Wilfredo Osorio Jr., Misael Osorio, Luis Osorio, Jack Kincaid III, Shalym Lugo, Joseph Cruz, Walter Hill and Bruce Louis.

More survivors include aunt, Leona Escalara; aunt-in-law, Caroline Bessie Parsons; uncle, Captain Wendell Parsons; sisters-in-law: Roberta Wilson and Sharon Vincent; brother-in-law, Lawrence Petersen Sr.; daughter-in-law, Gretchka Rosario; son-in-law, Jamaal Tonge; niece-in-law, Pamela D. Francis; cousin-in-law, Lydia Boynes; and cousins and other relatives: the Wilson Family on St. Croix, Parson Family, Smith Family, Hodge Family, Forbes Family, Romney Family and the Boynes Family on Tortola, British Virgin Islands, and St. Thomas.

Other survivors include special friends: the Honorable Gregory R. Francis, the O’Connor Family of St. John, Marla Matthew and Family, Joy Thomas and Family, Wanda Morris (affectionately called “Ms. Linen” by Frankie) and Family, Leroy “Boiler” Hatchett and Family, Joseph “Kya” Roberts and Family, Eric Lynch and Family, Almeric “Shabazz” Menders, Godfrey “Buck” Lennard and Family, Hugh Pemberton and The Reef Broadcasting Family, St. Claire Williams and Family, Menders Family, Delores Brathwaite and Family, Monique Moorehead and Family, Dawn Bruce and Family, Marilyn Christian and Family, Gladys Anthony and Family, Doris Brown and Family, Hector Soto, Carmen Roebuck and Family, Eugene “Genix” Thomas and Family, and Kenneth “Kumasi” Richards and Family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

Following his wishes for his final journey, a burial at sea will take place at 10 a.m., Monday, Aug. 31, at the Ann Abramson Pier in Frederiksted. Persons wishing to bid their farewells may join the family at this time.
