STT Woman Charged with Removing Firearm from Crime Scene

The V.I. Police Department on Friday arrested 37-year-old Desiree Brown of Estate Pearl on St. Thomas, and charged her with removing a firearm fro the scene of a crime.

According to the police report, Brown was seen on surveillance removing a hidden firearm that had been used July 29 at a restaurant in Contant.

Police said Brown was arrested at about 8:10 p.m. Sept. 25. She was charged with possession of an unlicensed firearm, accessory after the fact, misprision of felony, concealment of evidence and compounding crime.

Bail for Brown was set at $50,000. She could not post bail and was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections pending her advice of rights hearing.
