The Virgin Islands Fire Service advises the general public that the ban on burning in the territory will be lifted on Monday, Oct. 5.

Although the ban will be lifted, a valid permit will still be required for all outdoor burning.

Applications for burn permits will be available at the Arson Prevention and Investigation Unit offices in both districts.

For additional information, residents and businesses may contact the Arson Prevention and Investigation Unit at 773-8050 or 774-7610.
