Police Charge STX Man with Domestic Violence Assault

At 7:59 p.m., Friday, the V.I. Police Department arrested Khalaf Jerry, age 35 of Coakley Bay Condominiums, and charged him charging him of assaulting his companion during a disagreement.

Jerry is charged with second-degree assault/domestic violence, disobeying a lawful order, interfering with an officer discharging his duties and first-degree attempted robbery.

According to police, the victim sustained injuries to his neck, arms, hands, and back.

Jerry was turned over to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections without bail, in accordance with the territory’s domestic violence laws, pending his advice of rights hearing.
