Eddie Lovett opened his outdoor track and field season with 13.47 seconds in the 110-meter hurdles. The 13.47 is Lovett’s second-fastest time to start off an outdoor season.

He ran the 110-meter hurdles at the Miramar Invitational in Miramar, Fla. this weekend. Lovett is one of 11 VI Track and Field athletes working on qualifying for the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, this year. His time of 13.47 seconds is about one-tenth of a second off the qualifying standard for the Olympic Games.
