St. Croix Man Charged in Bank ATM Lane Disagreement

On Feb. 1, at 6:54 p.m., police arrested Wingrove J. Creighton, age 39, of La Grande Princesse on St. Croix. He was charged with 1st-degree reckless endangerment, damaging and tampering with a vehicle, 3rd-degree assault, and reckless driving.

According to the VIPD, during an apparent disagreement with another man in the drive-thru ATM lane at FirstBank Orange Grove, Creighton crashed his vehicle into the rear of another man’s vehicle. The other man in the disagreement then drew a firearm and discharged two rounds at Creighton’s vehicle. No one was injured in the incident.

Bail for Creighton was set at $30,000, and he could not post bail and was therefore remanded to the custody of the Bureau of Corrections, pending his Advice of Rights hearing.
