The Virgin Islands Fire and Emergency Medical Services, in accordance with its mission to provide safety, service and satisfaction, has assigned an ambulance to the Coral Bay Fire Station (Romeo Co.) on Monday, Aug. 22.

Director Daryl A. George said, “As 911 call volumes steadily increase, this designation greatly improves our dual response emergency services within the St. John community, without impairing our ability to respond to multiple incidents.”

Throughout the territory, every station is assigned a dual role FF/EMT each shift, eliminating the previously challenging aspects of transporting patients between the islands of St. John and St. Thomas.
