Hakeem O. Alfred Dies at 28

Hakeem O. Alfred

Hakeem O. Alfred, also known as “Pando,” died on Aug. 27. He was 28 years old.

He is survived by his mother, Bridgette M. Williams; father, Michael Alfred; companion: Brisa Figueroa; daughters: Diamond Alfred, Destiny Alfred and Ah’layasia Alfred; son, Hakeem O. Alfred Jr.; sisters: Keisha Rivera, Melika Alfred, Makaila Alfred and Makaira Alfred; and brothers: Shaquan Prentice, Michael Alfred Jr., Malachi Alfred and Malik Alfred.

He is also survived by nieces: Keishyra Navarro, Ahmira Navarro and Royal Prentice; nephews: Francisco Navarro Jr. and Kaydin Navarro; godparents: Risa Adams and Fitzroy George; godchild, Jahreem Santiago; and special friends: Rejah, Rallow, Tanik, Chery, Fruits, Iam, Ducie, Blyden, Kaine, Dapa, Pookie, Blank, Ringo, Isaiah, Marcus, Bubbly and others too numerous to mention.

Other survivors include cousins and other relatives: Darrion, Danny, D’neia, Denisha Emmanuel, Luis and Edwin Ventura, David Brewster, Keba Petrus, Jamal Brewster, Kishawn Jones and Khadeem Rosario; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A viewing will be held at noon followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 17, at James Memorial Funeral Chapel. Private cremation will follow.
