The Virgin Islands Economic Development Authority (VIEDA) will host a free webinar about the VI Slice Moderate-Income Homeownership Program (VI Slice Program) at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 1.  This webinar is for moderate-income individuals and families who want to buy or build their first home in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The VI Slice Program originated in October 2022 through a collaboration with the Office of the Governor, Office of Disaster Recovery (ODR) and the VIEDA in partnership with local banking institutions and mortgage companies.  The primary goal of the VI Slice Program is to establish opportunities that may increase homeownership rates amongst moderate-income households in the USVI. The program is funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) of 2021.

This webinar will be conducted via Zoom — a software-based platform for video and audio communications — and via live stream, and then it is recorded on www.facebook.com/usvieda.

Topics will include how the VI Slice Program works, who is eligible for the program and more. Webinar participants can also ask questions about the program.

Main speaker: Wayne L. Biggs Jr., chief executive officer of VIEDA.
