The USVI Soccer Association Extraordinary Congress Ratifies Statutes

U.S Virgin Islands Soccer Association (USVISA)

The U.S. Virgin Islands Soccer Association’s (USVISA) membership voted to ratify new statutes on Sunday, June 25, at the Windward Passage Hotel on St. Thomas. All nine of the USVISA members were in good standing, and up to date on obligations to USVISA, which was a requirement of eligibility to vote.

The statutes form a comprehensive document that will guide the USVISA governing system. The ratification of statutes is the final step of the process that has been ongoing at USVISA for the past 18 months. This entire exercise in establishing good governance practices was guided by consultants at FIFA and CONCACAF.

USVISA members in attendance were Helenites SC, LRVI FC, New Vibes SC, Prankton SC, Raymix SC, Rovers SC, Unique Tropical SC, United We Stand SC and Waitikibuli SC.

Elections for a new executive counsel are scheduled for late August 2023.
