Bianca Torres, 35, a resident of St. Croix, was sentenced by District Judge Wilma Lewis to 37 months incarceration, a fine of $1,000, and three years of supervised release after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, United States Attorney Delia L. According to court documents, on Jan. 23, 2023, Torres attempted to board a Spirit Airlines flight at Henry E. Rohlsen Airport in St. Croix. During an inspection of Torres’ carry-on bag, Customs and Border Protection officers discovered four bricks of cocaine wrapped in frozen seafood. The bricks weighed approximately four kilograms.
