Work Continues On St. Croix’s Airport Road

The Department of Public Works is informing the community of progress on the Route 64 (Airport Road) Road Repairs Project. DPW Contractor — Marco St. Croix, Inc. — began working on Airport Road on Dec. 9. Thus far, the contractor has cleared and grubbed the area and prepared several segments of the roadway for milling and paving. The contractor has placed the leveling course on sections of the western side of roadway and has begun the same work on the eastern side.

Flaggers will be on-site to aid motorists as they traverse through the areas. Travelers are encouraged to arrive at the airport earlier while construction is in progress to avoid any possible delays.

The Department of Public Works appreciates the community’s patience as they work to improve road conditions throughout the territory.
