A woman was found dead Monday morning in the vicinity of the Danish cemetery in Hospital Ground on St. Thomas, the V.I. Police Department reported.
Details are scant as officials continue to investigate the incident.
According to a report, police and emergency medical providers responding to a 911 call from a concerned citizen just before 9:30 a.m. Monday found the woman near the cemetery, unresponsive and bleeding from the face.
The woman was confirmed dead and her identity remains unknown at this time, the report stated. The case remains under investigation.
