Prophecy Academy Inc. will celebrate Black History Month with a fair. There will be music, skits and readings of historical note, followed by a sale of Caribbean foods, local drinks and cakes. The event will be held at 8 a.m., Friday, Feb. 27, on Weymouth Rymer Highway at the foot of Dunoe.
The food sale continues throughout the afternoon alongside colorful history and craft displays. Each class will portray the culture, history and food of the various Caribbean islands. Games and activities will be ongoing including an inflatable jumper/bouncer, a dunking booth (volunteers welcome!), marbles, jacks, jump rope (Double Dutch), a 3-legged race and slam-dunk basketball.
There will be lots of prizes, cotton candy and snow cones. Come out and share in the fun!
Parking is available courtesy of Home Depot in the NE corner of its parking lot, and thee will be complimentary shuttle service to the school.
