Inocencia Rivera Dies

Inocencia Rivera, also known as Jah-Jah” or “Abuela,” died on April 11 at her residence.
She is survived by her daughters: Maria, Carmen, Ledia and Ilma Rivera; sons:Juanito Sr, and Jose Luis Rivera; granddaughters: Midalia Ayala, Maribelle Okiye, Lisette Lauren, Lisbeth Pacheco, Lydia Gonzalez, Leticia Quedale, Elizabeth Samson, Anna and April Rivera, and Angelica Gillispie; special great-grandchildren: Marisa and Melissa Jackson, and Rafael Rivera Jr.; son-in-law, Dr. Stephen Okive; caretaker, Veda Hodge; daughters-in-law: Louisa Rivera and Freda T. Rivera; special friends: Antoinette and Fernando Dyke, Magna Edwards, Cholah Hodge, Cynthia Matthews, Gloria Briggs, Rowena Penn; 75 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; and many other friends and relatives too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held from 5-7 p.m. on Monday, April 25, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral will take place on Tuesday, April 26, at Sts. Peter and Paul Church. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 1.
All arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home, 774-1464.
