Human Services Announces Changes in Services Due to Isaac

The V.I. Department of Human Services announces the following changes in services regarding the impending storm Isaac. The Herbert Grigg Home Shelter will accept persons with transportation and other immediate issues who arrive before the official 7 p.m. open on Wednesday. The Family Assistance Program will suspend services on Thursday. Clients are asked to contact the office today to reschedule appointments.

The Meals on Wheels program will not deliver meals on Thursday as clients received double meals today. Family members and caregivers of those who receive services through the program are asked to ensure their needs are met on Thursday.
Senior citizen recreation centers will be closed territory-wide on Thursday. The centers on St. Croix will remain closed on Friday, but the centers on St. Thomas and St. John will re-open at 8 a.m.
