St. Croix Road Closure

Starting Friday until approximately March 26, 2024, Route VI 70 Centerline Rd. will be closed to traffic.

This closure has been requested by Custom Builders administered by the V.I. Department of Public Works to provide temporary Bridge 2902-014P on Route V.I. 70, Centerline Rd. This temporary road closure requires that all traffic on Centerline Road, between Route V.I. 707 and East Airport Road Route V.I. 65, be closed to all traffic except local traffic and construction traffic during construction activities.

Information about the closure and detours is as follows:

• The traffic will be rerouted north from Centerline, along Rt V.I. 707 on the east and Route V.I. 65 on the west.

• The traffic will travel along Beulah Way adjacent to the V.I. National Guard facility.

Increased Travel Time & Detours: Through traffic is advised to avoid this area during the closure period as there will be significant impacts to all roadway users. Roadway users are advised to use alternative routes until project work is completed. Detour signs will be in place to alert motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists about the temporary road closure.

Permanent signage will be installed on completion of construction.
