
Gavin I. Paul, better known as “Gavo,” died at the age of 39 on Aug. 13 at the Kindred Hospital in Miami.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Paul; children: Gavin Jr., Jaidin, Dwayne and Wayne; stepchildren: Makayla and Elijah; mother, Windie Graham; papas: Jeremiah Graham and Leslie Richardson; brother, Asa Richardson; and grandmother, Julitta Louis (St. Lucia).
He is also survived by aunts: Leana Auguste, Louise Louis, Corlis Malchoir, Laury Johnson, Luena Renee, Karen Pascal, Daphne Eloi, Maryan Guiste, Hilma Cuffy, Sandy Richardson, Teresita Riviera, Sergine and family, Pamela and Loren Aimable-Collins, along with special aunt Paula Thomas; uncles: John Paul, Mathew and Kieth, Paul and Benjamin Graham, Martin, Claudius, Melchoir and Johnson; cousins: Geneen and Antan Auguste, Melina Paul, Jimmy Holder, Melissa, Clarissa, Nyana Francois and Roger; and godmother, Joan Lawrence.
Other survivors include close friends: Delo, Kim, Butta, Omarie Winters, Olivia Joseph, Sister Fredericks, Bee Man, Isaiah, Martin, Kenny G, Dorian Gary, Pastor Jackie, members of the Frederick Church of the Nazarene, Pastor Enoch, and members of The Way of The Cross Baptiste Church; other relatives and friends: the Paul, Louis, Renee, Joyeux, Melchoir, Elcoke, Richardson, Lopez, Leonce, Graham, Popo, Marquis, Alfred, Acosta and Maynard families; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A Memorial Service/Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Frederiksted Church of the Nazarene. The church is at 699 Estate Williams Delight, near the Good Shepherd School.
The family kindly requests those in attendance to wear any shade of blue.
