Island Vibes Summer Camp, a non-profit organization, is an overnight sports and adventure camp that will be held at the University of the Virgin Islands from June 25-July 8. It is offering world class indoor and beach volleyball training by Dr. Gylton DaMatta, one of the foremost volleyball experts in the world. DaMatta has coached professional teams in over eight countries, and now he is bringing his expertise to the Virgin Islands.
Athletes ages 13-17 are invited to register for this intense two-week camp that will include room and board at UVI, Island Vibes Summer Camp gear, field trips, transportation, cultural activities and a community service project. Island Vibes will also accept 10-12-year-olds as day campers, who will receive lunch.
To raise money for its upcoming summer program and fund camperships that can help send athletes to the camp, Island Vibes has launched a crowd funding CAMPaign on Indiegogo’s Generosity platform. The 40-Day CAMPaign will run from April 10 to May 20 and will be aimed at people living all over the world, especially Virgin Islanders who want to help with the development of local talent and sports back home.
To donate to the Island Vibes CAMPaign go to https://igg.me/at/Wf-HmTqbiWM. Based on the donation level, a giver will receive various gifts. Help Island Vibes reach its $10,000 goal by contributing to and sharing the CAMPaign with 10 friends.
