UVI RTPark Has 10 New Tax-Break Recipients

The University of the Virgin Islands Research and Technology Park announced Monday it has contracted 10 new companies to give tax breaks to, in exchange for some cooperation and work with UVI.

Kamal Latham, chief executive officer of the tax-break giving entity the V.I. Economic Development Authority, has resigned his post, effective July 20, according to the Authority.

Botany Bay Resort Gets V.I. Tax Breaks

The V.I. Economic Development Authority board unanimously approved a tax break application from By-the-Sea Resort Properties LLC on May 7 to open a new 68-key independent boutique resort within the 397-acre enclave of The Preserve at Botany Bay.

RT Park Introduces New Programs and Staff to Community
