Two grants have been received by Fire Services for equipment and sprucing up the Charlotte Amalie Fire Station.
In a statement, Acting Fire Services Director Ian Williams said the Antilitter and Beautification Commission gave the department $5,000 to rebuild the walls of the station, replant the firefighters' garden and rebuild planters out front.
Williams said Raadets Gade retailers contributed $1,650 that went to a 4,200-watt generator, a power washer and three sets of halogen lights.
