NATIONAL PTA AFFILIATED SCHOOLS TO MEET

Oct. 16, 2001 – All National Parent Teacher Association past and current presidents and officers are requested to attend a meeting Oct. 25 at the Education Department teleconferencing room in St. Thomas.
The meeting will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. and will link up with the organization's counterparts in St. Croix.
Deborah Gonzalez, corresponding secretary for the U.S. Virgin Islands Congress of the organization, said the meeting's topic will be dues payment.
Member schools include Addelita Cancryn Junior High School as well as Ulla F. Muller, Lockhart, Jane E. Tuitt, Peace Corps, and Edith Williams Elementary Schools in St. Thomas. In St. John, Julius E. Sprauve School PTA belongs to the national organization.
Gonzalez said that one of the organization's goals is to get all PTAs to join the national organization. She said it provides resources, grants and workshops for the local PTAs.
