Dec. 4, 2001 – Artist Janet Cook-Rutnik will conduct one-day workshops in monotype printmaking on Friday, Dec. 7, and Saturday, Dec. 15, at her Guavaberry Farms studio at Fish Bay on St. John.
Neither previous experience in printmaking nor an extensive background in the visual arts is necessary in order to take part in the workshops. High school students as well as adults are welcome, Cook-Rutnik said.
In each workshop, participants will produce their own monotype prints by the end of the day. The sessions will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The registration fee of $95 for either day includes all materials. "All you need to bring is your lunch," Cook-Rutnik said.
For those planning to travel from St. Thomas to take part, arrangements can be made for transportation from the ferry dock.
To reserve space or to obtain additional information, call Cook-Rutnik at 693-8069 or 776-6809, or stop by the Frames of Mind gallery and frame shop in Cruz Bay.
