Jan. 23, 2002 – The University of the Virgin Islands announces these upcoming events in a release:
SBDC seminar on filing your taxes
The SBDC and the VI Bureau of Internal Revenue will conduct a seminar entitled "Filing Your Business Taxes for 2001" on Jan. 24 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the V.I. Legislature Conference Room, Cruz Bay, St. John. Admission is free. To pre-register and for additional information call 776-3206.
VI Marine Park Project meetings
The VI Marine Park Project invites the community to stakeholders meetings on Jan. 22 on St. Croix, Jan. 24 on St. Thomas, and Jan. 29 on St. John. The meetings will present the findings of the Marine Park Project. For more information call 693-1062.
Latin music extravaganza of Celia Cruz
The Reichhold Center for the Arts presents Celia Cruz for one night only on Saturday, Jan. 26, at 8 p.m. in the Reichhold Center. Tickets are $25 for Zone C and $42 for Zone B. Zone A is sold out. For tickets please call 693-1559. Individuals coming from St. Croix should call 693-1563 for information on the Reichhold Travel Package.
Voters registration and UVI activities fair
On Thursday, Jan. 24, the Student Activities Office will host an Activities Fair and Voters Registration for the UVI community. You must have proof of citizenship and be at least 18 years old to register to vote. The Fair will also feature sign-up sheets for clubs and organizations from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the cafeteria porch.
Nursing Program Class of 2002 recognition banquet
The Nursing Program Class of 2002 will hold a semi-formal special recognition banquet for its students on Sunday, Jan. 27, at L'Escargot restaurant beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets are available at the UVI Bookstore.
