Vocational School Parents as Partners Workshop Scheduled

Jan. 24, 2005 — Daphne Williams, principal of the St. Croix Vocational School, announced Monday that the Third Annual Parents as Partners workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m Wednesday, Feb 2 at HOVENSA's recreational center. The theme for the workshop is, "The Influence of Various Groups on Student Educational and Career Decisions".
Vanessa Berrios, Ph.D., will be the keynote speaker. Berrios, a professor in the Guidance Department at the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, also serves as Education Services Specialist and Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) program manager at the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) in Puerto Rico.
Free admission by prior registration includes breakfast and lunch. Registration deadline is Monday, Jan. 31. Participation is limited to 50 people.
