Feb. 11, 2005 – 'Love in Any Language' will be explored on Feb. 14, Valentine's Day, in the Little Theatre on the St. Thomas campus of the University of the Virgin Islands. Persons from those cultures will speak of their tradition. Student poetry will also enhance the event
If you're celebrating Valentine's Day with chocolates and roses and a Special Someone — or even if you're not — come to the Little Theatre in the CA Building at 5:30 p.m. for an immersion in romantic traditions. The event will conclude by 6:45 p.m., to coincide with regular class schedules.
The session is part of the "2005: The Year of Languages" celebration of the modern languages area of the Humanities Division. "We live in a community in which the need for knowing a second language is fast becoming imperative," a release said. This event offers a look at the languages of love; coming months will provide other celebrations of language.
