Community Alert: DPW to Patch Garden Street to Fireburn Hill

March 29, 2005 — A Public Works Department road patching crew is set to start patching the road from All Saints Cathedral to the Fireburn Hill Intersection from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Residents and other motorists are asked to refrain from parking their vehicles on the street between All Saints Cathedral and Fireburn Hill so that the work can be completed as swiftly as possible, a release from George Phillips, DPW acting commissioner, said.
Phillips said now that the abandoned vehicles have been removed and the bush and debris have been cleared from the road sides, the pot holes can be repaired. "Once completed, the appearance of the neighborhood will be greatly improved, which the residents rightly deserve," Phillips said.
Motorists are asked to please drive slowly and follow the directions of the flagmen to avoid accidents.
