Education Celebrates Employees of the Year

April 8, 2006 – The Department of Education has announced that Rhona Bolivar of St. Croix and Chanice Gerard-Percival of St. Thomas have been selected as the department's 2006 Employees of the Year. The employees will receive their formal recognition at the annual Public Employees Recognition Gala scheduled for June.
Education Commissioner Noreen Michael said, "I am pleased to offer congratulations to Mrs. Bolivar and Mrs. Percival on this very important recognition. While public service careers are noble professions, they remain the jobs that receive the least acknowledgement. This, however, is not the case for the work and service provided by our very distinguished Employees of the Year."
Bolivar serves as the administrative secretary to the principal of the Pearl B. Larsen Elementary School. Chanice Gerard-Percival is a personnel assistant in the human resources department.
