George Wentworth Leader Is Dead at 80

July 26, 2006 – George Wentworth Leader, also known as "Lights," died on July 20, on St. Thomas, at the age of 80.
He is survived by his stepson, Clinton Stapleton; brother, Delwin Leader; brothers-in-law: George, Roy, Roosevelt, Nathaniel, Clement and Alfred Stapleton; and sisters-in-law: Celina Caines, Gwendolyn Moses, Ellen and Doreen Stapleton, Mary Stapleton Fox, and Violet McCall. He is also survived by a special nephew, David Stapleton, and many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., on Thursday, July 27 at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a second viewing from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m., on Friday, July 28, at Christchurch Methodist followed by a funeral service at 9 a.m., at the church. Interment will be at Western Cemetery.
All funeral arrangements are by Davis Funeral Home, 774-1464.
