UVICELL to Host Town Hall Meetings

Aug. 3, 2006 – The University of the Virgin Islands' Community Engagement and Lifelong Learning (UVICELL) Center invites V.I. residents to participate in a series of town hall meetings on St. Croix, St. John and St. Thomas in August. The meetings, conducted on behalf of the Election System of the Virgin Islands, will give the general public an opportunity to dialogue with USVI representatives and provide feedback on voters' experiences at polling sites.
This information will allow the Election System to make improvements and enhance the level of service offered to the community. Town hall meetings are scheduled to take place on Wednesday, Aug. 16, at Gertrude's Restaurant on St. Croix; on Monday, Aug. 21, at the Palm Court Harbor View Hotel on St. Thomas; and on Tuesday, Aug. 22, at the Legislature Conference Room on St. John. All meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.
For more information, contact the UVICELL Center at 693-1100.
