Sept. 1, 2006 – The Virgin Islands Water and Power Authority Customer Service Offices on St. Croix and St. Thomas will be open from 8 a.m. to noon, on Saturday, Sept. 2. They will be closed throughout the territory on Monday, Sept. 4, in observance of Labor Day. All WAPA offices will reopen at 8 a.m., on Tuesday, Sept. 5.
St. Thomas water standpipes will be open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Saturday and Labor Day. The St. John standpipes will be open form 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Saturday and Labor Day. The St. Croix standpipes will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Saturday but closed on Labor Day. St. Croix water standpipes will resume operations at 8 a.m., on Tuesday, according to a press release from WAPA.
